David is not only an amazing artist but truly is a friend to Beaver Run Resort and the Town of Breckenridge, Colorado. We first met David as he was doing the poster for Breckenridge's hosting of the USA Pro Cycling Tour, which we feature in our exercise facility at Beaver Run. Continuing our relationship with David led us to add his work in our Spa at Beaver Run (seen below) as well as in our game room and in our fitness center.

Also David has used his art to support many of the non-profits in Breckenridge including doing the iconic poster for Breckenridge's Ullr Fest, which honors Ullr the mythical Norse God of Snow. The photo below shows David with the 2017 poster art as well a posing with the King and Queen of the 2017 event, my wife and myself!

My last note tells of David's work in showcasing a memorial piece of Brock, who was tragically killed in a skydiving accident and his family's wish was for Brock to be remembered in the activity he loved. David's depiction of Brock skydiving, will be honored and appreciated forever as the photo below is now featured in his parents home and will always be remembered and cherished!

David's use of his artistic gift not only expresses life and energy but truly expresses the "Spirit" in which he puts into every piece of work that we have experienced.

I have the privilege of owning five of David's art pieces. I first met David through Raitman Art Galleries in Breckenridge, where many of his paintings are displayed. Over the last few years we have built our collection, acquiring both completed works and commissioning custom pieces. David is an incredible artist, building motion and movement into all of his pieces. Our collections include (very) large mountain landscape, cycling and running racing pieces (including the original painting used for a Pikes Peak Marathon poster) and musical scenes. (I cannot recommend enough the process of working with David on his custom pieces.)

My husband and I had admired David's work that we had seen at Raitman Galleries in Breckenridge over the years. We stopped in last fall on a visit and fell in love with two of David's works, one which we purchased and one that was not quite the right size for what we needed. It was suggested that we commision a piece. Working through Rayen from Raitman, we met with David to discuss our piece and how we might individualize it for our space. I met David through his paintings. I first saw his work when a friend in my art studio came back from a ski trip in Vail and directed me to his work. His work jumped out at me because I was first getting into painting myself and he was the first artist I saw who described the physical aspect of painting. You could see that in his work. I could almost hear the background music playing as David creates. David has also been very gracious with his time. He's done online demonstrations and I've been fortunate enough to talk to him about art, and life. I have two posters of his work and when the time comes for my own second home in the mountains, I definitely want to own an original piece.

Great artist and local legend known for his colorful paintings of Colorado, Winter sports and animals. David does not stick to these subjects alone, however. I met David at one of his shows at the Manitou Art Center and have been friends ever since. Sometimes I’ll drop by his studio to discuss art, life, and slow internet speeds.
